I want to inspire kindergarten students to become readers. Students all learn at a different pace. Kindergarten students start school at many different levels. Some come to school knowing the letter names and sounds. While others come to school not knowing the difference between a letter or a number. I would like these leveled books so I can reach all of my students, whether they are struggling learners or above grade level. Small group reading instruction is a perfect way to differentiate my student's learning. Using these quality books and guided activities will create opportunities for differentiated learning, develop strong reading strategies, increase comprehension and fluency. My ultimate goal is to grow confident readers and instill the love of reading in my students.
