Technology is critical in designing instruction for students in this digital age. Putting devices readily in their hands is of upmost importance. My students use Chromebooks daily in our classroom; however, a large portion of my classroom set are older models. The older ones do not have touchscreens and many have keys that are malfunctioning. I have 3 life skills students who attend my class. They function better while using touchscreen Chromebooks. The older molders are also very slow to connect to our school's WiFi causing those students, logging in to them, to start out the class period behind the others. A science classroom provides the perfect environment to help students develop the technological skills and knowledge needed to enhance their future as students strengthen their science learning. With these new HP Chromebooks, my students will be engaged with interactive lessons and be more prepared for an increasingly digital workforce. This project will hep increase student productivity and my students can continue to enjoy science!
