Two years ago, my students researched flexible learning environments and designed a pilot plan which was funded by a grant. I looped with most of these students, so they were able to try the items we ordered, use them for a year, and offer feedback. To enhance classroom flexible seating choices, they suggested adding more wobble stools, as well as seat cushions that students can use on the floor or in chairs. They also wanted more Bouncy Bands for desks, and portable lap desks for writing or using their iPads. Above all, quality, durability and function are must-haves, so donors can be assured that items requested are built to withstand the rigors of a middle-school classroom.
