Flexible seating will give our students options that better increase their overall academic engagement! Students are seating in the classroom most of their academic day. Allowing them the autonomy to choose a seat that fits their needs will help them be successful. The variety of seating options allows them to take control of what helps them to stay focused. The seating options also helps with sensory needs. Young students are not always to sit still for long periods of time and stay engaged in the learning. This will give them an engaging way to increase their academic awareness and be able to move around when needed. Students love being able sit on furniture other than their normal chair. It gives them a sense of accomplishment that they have earned the ability to be different and they actually work harder doing so. These items will meet the needs of every student. It gives them the opportunity to choose what makes them comfortable and be their best versions of themselves. Our classroom is their home away from home!
