Everyone learns in different ways. I want students to be able to be comfortable and in control of their body so they are ready to listen, soak-in new information, and work to the best of their abilities. Giving students a choice of seating (ground with pillow or mat, soft or hard chair with or without backing...) and surface area to work on (community table, own space, tray,...) improves the quality and quantity of work produced each student. Flexible seating and movable work space areas create an environment that promotes collaboration, and good work ethic. Make a difference for each child.
