Welcome to my classroom! I have been teaching elementary school for 20+ years in Hamtramck Public Schools. Working here is like working at the United Nations. We have children from all over the world who attend our schools. Last count we had 23 different nationalities and even more languages and dialects. As much as I love Hamtramck's diversity and the beauty of the different cultures, my district is one of the poorest in the state. It is very normal for me to invest a couple of thousand dollars a year to make sure the needs of my students are met. Lately though the needs I face for my room are too big, so I look forward to sponsoring some projects here on DonorsChoose.org. I am so excited to partner with this amazing charity!
