I am so lucky to have thirty three amazing fifth graders this year in my care. Their love of learning inspires me to come to work each and every day and to fight for them and what they deserve. These children need to discover to learn and all it's wonders, not be taught it straight from a textbook. They need to touch it, build it, discover it! I teach in a very high poverty area, most of my students come from homes with single parents, some of which are migrant farm workers, working so hard to make it. The families give what they can when they can, and are so proud when they do, but like so many are struggling with just surviving and cannot possibly support a project such as this. I am very creative and I improvise a whole lot in my room to make due with whatever supplies I can salvage from anywhere. But I need your help to create an updated all-inclusive learning environment. Thank you for your support! :)
