This is the 10th year that this dance program has been offered at Carr Intermediate. I have 4 dance classes with 30-55 students in each class. There are 3 levels of dance ranging from beginning to advanced. I focus on concert dance training in Ballet and Jazz, as well as social dance genres such as African, Latin, Swing, and Hip Hop. A large majority of my students have never had dance training, and many of their families are not able to give them those opportunities outside of the public school setting. My goal is to provide my students with an appreciation for the arts, a mode of self expression, and self-confidence that they may not have found anywhere else.
