Students in my class have disabilities ranging from Cerebral Palsy to Moderate Intellectual Disabilities and anywhere in between. Most of my students are cognitively low and function below grade level. In my room, we work on academics, as well as, social and adaptive skills. I hold high expectations for my students because I want them to become as independent as possible and contribute, as much as they are capable, to their community. My students know what is expected of them. My school is very diverse demographically. We have a diverse ethnic and income population. The administration, teachers, parents, and students are very accepting and supportive of my students. They go out of their way to help and encourage my students. I am very blessed to be a part of the school and county I am in. Even though I have the support of administration, funds are not widely available to get things that I would like to have for my classroom. I appreciate any donation that you are able to give.
