Children aren't meant to sit in one place all day long--their nature is to move. A balance ball seat can provide slight movement and/or a perfect moment for a brain break which can allow circulation to flow better and can keep young minds more alert and focused. The idea of movement while learning is developmentally appropriate--a great balance in a world of technology. Flexible seating--like the ball chairs I am asking for--provides choice, increased focus, higher academic functioning due to physical activity and also encourages community by taking turns. In short, flex seating makes learning more fun and productive!
