This past year has taught me that the social emotional development of my ELL students is so important. Many stuggled with online learning and were unmotivated to complete their academic tasks. As we transition back into in-school learning, I want to give my students a space where they can feel comfortable and motivated to read, in order to expand their language skills. Many of my students struggle with the task of reading, therefore I want to provide a space where they can put their headphones on, curl up on the rug with book of their choice, and feel as if they were in their personal space at home. The products that I have selected will allow my early finishers to have a space where they can relax with good books and let their imaginations soar. Reading is so important and fundamental for all students but more importantly for English Language Learners. What better way to practice a difficult skill than in a comfortable and inviting space to do so.
