My name is Kristi Anderson and I am a 1st Grade Teacher at Jewett Elementary, having just looped up after 14 years in Kinder. I am very fortunate to have a job that I LOVE!!! My goal is always for students to learn as much as they can during the course of the year, but even more than that I want students to learn to LOVE learning!! I want to encourage children to THINK and to realize how capable they are. I know my door is their first step into the public school setting, so it's important that learning is FUN, but also that students learn about their responsibilities as a worker (at school). I also focus heavily on being an "at-school family," promoting kindness and caring in our every day dealings with each other. My job is to provide a nurturing learning environment where children know that they are loved and safe and where the outcome will be students who love school, learning and being a good friend! :)
