Studies have shown that students all learn differently, some learn best by listening, moving or watching. I want to provide opportunities for my students to learn in all different ways. I am asking for this grant so that I may purchase manipulative and supplies to allow them to read, write and practice spelling in ways that allow movement and creativity. Each student will have choices each day that fits their learning style and mood. Some will prefer pencil and paper, while others would prefer magnetic letters or invisible ink pens with lights on the end. I want to create a love of learning for my students, of excitement and to get them out of their seats.
