They will provide needed items to help my students achieve independence in the kitchen. The pots and pans will be used on the stove in the classroom to learn cooking skills and baking skills. The mixer will be used to make delicious cakes and muffins. The bakeware will be used in the oven that currently is never used. Until recently this part of the room has been off-limits to the students. This is something I desperately want to change. The only thing standing in the way of an outstanding cooking class curriculum for my special education students is the proper supplies. With donor help, we can change this area of education for these wonderful young learners.
