Hello and thank you for viewing my page and showing interest in our class ! We are doing extraordinarily exciting things at Olmsted Academy South to help prepare our young women for college, career, and life. This year the focus of my classes has shifted to opening my students' eyes to exciting career and learning opportunities that perhaps many of them had never considered before. These are also career paths and classes that have statistically been dominated by male students. I teach a combination of computer science and design/pre-engineering classes that really focus on students learning and engaging with the engineering design process, learning to work in teams to achieve tangible and visible goals, and learning the prerequisite skills to advance their studies in STEAM related fields.
