These theme boxes, puppets, and puzzles will help with the social-emotional development of the children in the classroom. The tools will be used daily to support during morning circle and identifying the children's emotions during the school day. The children will learn to be in new surroundings and how to learn about their emotions. They will learn also about family connection and community. This will develop prior knowledge for further future learning in pre-kindergarten. It will help children manage their emotions, build relationships and resolve conflicts peacefully. It is important for children to form secure attachments with adult caregivers that support long-term social, emotional, and even physical well-being.
