The best words I can hear as a teacher are, "It's over already?!". I strive have my students experience how fun and socially rewarding Physical Education can be, while creating approachable and adaptable activities that engage all students. Some students simply don't have the background or experience in structured play environments and I have found that classic sport based units are not resonating with my students. To counter act these factors, I have found that the best way to get my students moving is to deliver familiar concepts or themes, wrapped around physically activity and education. while I educate students on how the body moves and how they can properly move their bodies effectively and safely. All the while having fun doing it. An example of a familiar concept is Ninja Warrior obstacle courses. Kids love to navigate these obstacle courses and gain the necessary locomotive skills and physical strength while doing so. With this project funding support I would purchase some additional gymnastic and tumbling equipment to create a fun and engaging environment for my students. Thank you in advance for your support!
