A. B. Hill students are creative thinkers and problem solvers. Even though the poverty level in community in which they reside is well above the national average (almost double), they are not discouraged by their circumstances. A. B. Hill Elementary is an inner city Title I school located in southwest Memphis. A. B. Hill and Lincoln Elementary School merged for the 2015-2016 school year. A. B. Hill is currently a PreK - 5th grade school serving 398 students. There are 9 classrooms serving PreK - 3 students with a student/teacher ratio of 20:1. There are 5 classrooms serving grades 4 and 5 with a student/teacher ratio of 24:1. Additionally, students are served by 2 Instructional Resource classes. The student body is 52% male and 48% female. A majority of the students reside in the south area of Memphis, with very few exceptions.
