Our school has been a pilot school for the district-wide focus of "Writing". Over the last few years, we focused on academic conversations, and now this year students are taking what they learned previously and applying that to be better writers. Because of our school's focus on writing this year, writing is to be integrated into all subject areas, from reading class, to math, and even PE! Our scholars have been improving their writing all year long to extend their knowledge, but it has left our three pencil sharpeners non-functioning, our pencils that have managed to stick around for more than a day have diminished erasers, and our collection of markers has become depleted. It would mean the world to us to have new writing materials to continue our hard work!
