Here at Lucille Brown Middle School, I have a rocking group of students that do their very best daily to meet my standards. We go over the same music upwards of some five to six times during class. We are always striving to become bigger and better than what we were the year before and we do it with limited resources. My students have a mix of gifted and talented, exceptional education, military, and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. With all that in our band we are still able to bring great music to life for our audiences. They are so strong willed that we have been able to achieve superior ratings and 1st place trophies through competition. There are so many more ways in which we want to challenge ourselves as a band program. We want to build a music composition lab or have our own stand alone laptop cart. We want to travel to more places for competition and see the world. We can do this!
