My students are 8th graders from a low-income district in North Carolina. They are hard working, enjoy working together, funny, and energetic. They find math fun but difficult at times. They have dreams of being doctors, lawyers, soldiers, teachers, architects, and much more. They are diverse culturally, racially, and economically. They attend a school with an inspired staff who love teaching and are constantly creating new and innovative ways to inspire students.
