Living in the north east United States, it gets chilly quickly as fall approaches. Many students will be in with runny noses and other colds, and often single ply, generic tissues are not strong enough and the students end up with dirty hands; this is why I've requested both Kleenex tissues and Purell hand sanitizer. I want to provide the students with a classroom that is warm and welcoming in its culture, but I also want them to come in to a clean room every day. I often allow students to eat in my class so providing these cleaning supplies will permit me to continue this practice and keep my students fed and focused. Ultimately, these supplies will help me give my students the best environment in which to learn that they can.
