These books will boost my classroom library! The subjects and genres of these books were chosen to encourage students to read. I chose both fiction and non-fiction titles with my students' interests in mind. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently and at their own grade level. A lot of the non-fiction books I chose are STEM related subjects. I chose STEM related titles, because I believe it is important to expose students to the STEM field and its related careers. My classroom library is accessible to all of my 7th and 8th grade students. My students will be able to check out books to read independently or pick up a book to read when they finish an assignment early. These books will be a fantastic addition to my classroom library.
