Venture Academy is a new charter school in Minneapolis serving students from very diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to ignite the passion of all young people to become innovators and entrepreneurial leaders who will change the world. As one of the schools Educational Specialists, I am thrilled to be coaching students representing almost all disability categories in a full-inclusion environment. Many of these children face multiple challenges outside of the school that can limit their success. An unstable home life, medical issues, violence, and poverty are things my kids deal with every day. School is often the most constant factor in their lives, and the dedicated teachers at Venture are stretching our limited funds as far as we can to meet their needs. Through it all, my 6th and 7th graders are enthusiastic and hard-working when it comes to their studies. They deserve a high quality education, and you can help!
