These instruments will help the students to be apart of the global music community. They will make the students feel authentic and will aid in the personality of the performance. It makes the students feel empowered and prepared. They get to have more fun with the works they are performing and stand out amongst the crowd. It is only fitting to have authentic instruments from Africa when performing the music. Not only will this help my drumming ensemble, but I can use these bells with every one of my classes in the school. A lot of drumming and dancing ensembles in America, take the music and other aspects of the culture and downplay the experience and change aspects. With these items the students will be one step closer to an traditional performance.
