I would like to replace the tradition 4 legged, hard plastic chairs in my classroom with stability balls. There are many studies out there that show when students sit on these stability balls they engage both sides of their brains which increases attentiveness. These chairs also promote better blood flow to extremities and the brain, core strength, and balance. These balls will also give students that are fidgety a safe and appropriate means of energy release. The stability balls, also, have been shown to improve classroom behaviors such as rocking in chairs, turning around in chairs, bouncing legs etc. Accordingly, my students will be able to better focus on the lesson which will increase their learning and knowledge. Donations will ensure that my classroom is a safe, interactive, and most of all, engaging place for students to come and learn. These stability ball chairs will help me to make this classroom goal a reality. The students will not only be more focused, but they will also gain better core strength and blood flow as a result. This will create a healthy routine and learning environment that students may use later in life
