Our students want to explore and study different animals in their ecosystems. 5th graders will design, program, and ship motion sensor cameras to different locations around the United States to study different ecosystems. These cameras will be able to detect motion and snap a quick picture of the animal in its ecosystem. We will then upload the pictures that were captured to our website. Finally, the students will analyze and share how these animals adapt to their ecosystem. Our new 3D printer will allow our students to design and create the enclosure that will hold the student-programmed Raspberry Pi camera. Once students are able to complete the cameras, they will start reaching out to different state parks to receive permission to capture images of animals in their ecosystems.
