Our school is located in California. We are a National Blue Ribbon school, and most recently named a California Distinguished School. My students are in their last year of elementary school before moving on to the challenges of middle school. They are excited to learn, and constantly amaze me with the connections they make between a lesson and their own experiences. Due to our large population of English language learners, many of my students started school with little or no English skills. Their desire to learn has helped them to overcome the challenges of learning English and reach proficiency with challenging academic standards. They are energetic, funny, and full of ideas. They have vivid imaginations, and limitless potential to reach their goals.
