Raised bed gardens have been exploding in recent years all around schools. While these gardens are great, they can take up lots of space, require the right location, the right soil, and daily watering. Recently Hydro gardens have become more popular for a variety of reasons such they don't need light, soil, as much space, and daily watering. By having a hydro garden my students will be able to learn how roots grow, the live cycle of a plant, and how to grow sustainable food. By having a Hydro garden students will get to experience gardening in a whole new way. They will get to see how roots grow, they will produce more vegetables, and learn about water conservation. This Hydro garden will also let us plant year-round without weather restrictions. Students will also learn design principles and get a foundation in engineering.
