In the LVMMS music fifth grade classroom students learn how two write and compose music. In unit 1 the students learn how to identify and count rhythms in four patterns. In Unit 2 the students learn how to identify notes on the Treble Clef from Middle C to High G. This project is for getting instruments into the classroom for students to have a hands on experience involving music. By playing on the hand drums the students will learn how to connect rhythm to instruments. The xylophones will be used for students to connect the notes they identify on the staff and in real world score examples.
