My students are learners who tend to work hard because learning doesn't always come easy. Weather I have a high achieving student or a low achieving student - their perseverance and ability to work through using mistakes as learning opportunities continually empowers them. That being said, many of my students have little support at home, therefore making homework challenging due to a variety of reasons. Our area is quite diverse [students from Russia, Mexico, India, etc] and often comprise of households that are complex and have parents working two jobs just to keep the house going. Yet, they want their child to be successful, as do I.
