OUR middle school is located in Kalihi which is a lower income area. Our school has a diverse ethnic background from Hawaiian, Polynesian, Micronesian and Filipino. Some of the students are at a language disadvantage and learning English as their second language. Students face some trouble within the homes where distant relatives are helping to take care of them. These kids are at a disadvantage when it comes to their education because of their low economic status and the lack of help at home. They have a desire to learn and grow in their academics they are in need of great role models and a great support system. Mahalo for your EAR.. K-DEN... Mr Taone
