I am a 5th grade teacher at Knollwood Elementary school. On behalf of the faculty and students I would first like to thank you for considering our proposal. Knollwood is a very diverse school with over 30 different languages. Along with all of the different cultures, about 50% of the students are on free or reduced lunch programs. We have taken our diversity and used it to increase our school's test scores by over 250 points over the last 5 years. In fact two years ago we were recognized as a California Distinguished School.
