My students are 26 extremely inquisitive 5-7 year olds who love to be challenged. They learn in both French (in the morning) and English (in the afternoon), which requires more work on their part, and they always try their very best. What I love most about my students is how they always help each other, even when I don't specifically ask them to. They are learning and growing at a small public school in Brooklyn, NY. Our administration strongly believes in small-size classes, which allows us, the teachers, to better know our students and better help them succeed. However, this does come at a price as our school gets considerably less funding than some other schools in the city with larger class sizes. Our students learn to be good all-around leaders with the "Leader in Me" program and we are also learning to become a more sustainable school with the help of the National Wildlife Federation.
