My kids love to code! They are a mixed group of students between 6th and 8th grade that love to learn. Most are 1st generation students in this country and qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. My students have been learning to code using Scratch and MIT app creator, and they want to move to a more challenging objective. Later this year, we want to begin using Xcode and Swift Playgrounds, which is an Apple proprietary coding software. This software is free, but the materials are high in cost due to the requirement that it be used on a Mac.
