I teach in a small rural school in Southwestern Indiana. Many of my students fall into the free/reduced lunch category. However, all of the teachers in the school corporation work hard to provide meaningful educational experiences for our students. I am one of two music teachers in the entire corporation (1 Elementary general music and 1 band/choir/jr-sr. high music). I do my best to ensure that my band, choir, and general music students are experiencing music in new ways in the classroom. My choir and band students work hard to become better, stronger musicians on a daily basis. Many of my general music students leave my class having experienced music in a new way.
