The TI-nspire is a game-changer. It allows students to animate ideas, prove mathematical theorems in seconds, and expand their understanding daily. The software can be installed on school-sponsored student devices, such as Chromebooks, and never requires a renewal. Today, I used a TI-nspire lesson that required students to calculate the distance, midpoint, and slope of two given points in my Geometry class. Students developed and a new technique that is accurate and saved time with little instruction. All students became high-end learners. They completed more in 45 minutes than previous classes could complete in 3 days. The benefits are obvious, but the technology is in minimal supply.
