Our construction program has been using the same tools for over 20 years. The old, outdated tools are unsafe and inefficient. I am requesting new nail guns to replace the outdated equipment in our lab. It is time to update the tools for the students. With new nail guns we can bring the finish carpentry part of our program into the 21st century. These nail guns are the top of the line tools used by finish carpenters in the real world. The students will use these new nail guns to build their project house. There they will learn to install doors, trim, handrail, and closet shelves. This hands on, home building project will give them the skills they need for a future in the construction industry.
