Skills such as planning, designing, measuring and assembling can enhance classroom mathematics skills and increase interest, while providing "real world" applications. Pre-cut bird house kits cost $10 per kit, whereas if we made them in the classroom, we could make them for $2.50 per kit. There are several other projects that will be possible with this table saw. Custom shelving for upcoming vertical gardening will be created in the classroom in which the saw will be used. Outdoor hardscape projects will take place in the Spring. This saw will continue to teach and inspire children for many years to come.
