Yoga has become a part of our curriculum. I will use the yoga mats and blocks during our yoga practice. These sorely needed resources will allow us to practice yoga whenever we choose, outside and indoors, not only when the wrestling room is available. Yoga mats and blocks would also be safer than our current situation. The students have grown to love and enjoy the practice of yoga. They constantly ask when we will be able to practice again. We often don't have access to a safe place to practice and many times we cannot. These materials will give us this freedom and allow our students to cultivate their yoga practice. Many of them have already applied the skills they are developing to manage their own stress and they will continue to grow if this yoga initiative can be funded.
