For this project, my aim is to help my students to get clean and accessible water. We run in the Florida heat. As runners, we need to be constantly hydrated. During practice this past season, we had to cut it short because some of our athletes are dehydrated. My students were cramping and were unable to continue to practice that week. They explained to me that they do not have clean and accessible water at home. By at least giving my students a water filtered pitcher, it would give them the ability to have clean water at home and stay hydrated before, during, and after running in the Florida heat. My students would not have to wonder when they would get clean water next. By having a cooler, we would be able to store maybe a pitcher of water and bottles of water so that they are constantly hydrated during practice. Thank you in advance!
