My project is to teach students greater self-confidence through the introduction and completion of progressively difficult jigsaw puzzles. Additionally, puzzles they will complete will celebrate various holidays and provide geographical learning through the use of maps of the United States and individual states. Teamwork between students and classes will teach the value of working together. The puzzles also allow for socialization and acceptance of the different roles each student can contribute to the success of a group project. Work on the puzzles will be used as an incentive for students to complete school work and earn special privileges and recognition.
