My students love to use technology in music class. I introduced exploratory music learning in GarageBand on the class iPads this quarter with my 2nd graders, and they loved it. "iPad time" was their favorite part of the class. However, they were limited in what they could accomplish during this time, because every student's iPad was up at full blast, and the environment in the room could be deafening. The recording was out of the question. By donating to this project, you will enable my students to work on songwriting and recording in a quiet environment, free of distractions, even when they are all in the same room together. I cannot wait to hear the songs my students are able to put together when they actually have the space to listen closely to what they are working on, and an environment quiet enough to get a clean recording in.
