I've been teaching Physical Education for 21 years at Markham Middle School in Watts, CA. My class is designed to keep students active, confident, and healthy while building teamwork and community pride. Through a mix of fun games, fitness activities, sports, and movement challenges, students will improve strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility. Lessons emphasize goal-setting, respect, and perseverance, helping students develop lifelong healthy habits both in and out of school. The class celebrates the energy, culture, and resilience of the Watts community by encouraging positive attitudes, cooperation, and personal growth—no matter your current fitness level. Everyone is welcome, and effort matters more than perfection.
