My students are intensely curious about the world around them. I teach students with special needs in a mixture of contained and inclusion English and history classes. As a special education teacher, the majority of my students have a learning disability and have a wide variety of needs and learning styles. Many of my students grew up in homes where computers or the Internet were not accessible. Several students have grown up with little notion of stability, moving between extended family members both locally and internationally. Despite their challenges, they are always impressing me with their energy, background knowledge, and their desire to do more.
