Our school string program was started because members in our community came together to support it. They formed a private non-profit and raised funds for equipment. After starting in lower grades, a high school strings class was started. And the students are completely dedicated as they come to class before school begins! An extra class means more supplies and music to support it. As budget often go, the increased need didn't necessarily increase funding. But we always work to do more with less. That's where this project can assist! Students have been performing the same holiday songs for a few years on, and having more options not only inspires them but it allows us to have some flexibility when class sizes and ability changes with each year.
