My agriculture science courses not only focus heavily on providing students with textbook/classroom knowledge but provides hands on opportunities. These supplies will give my students hands on opportunities they might not otherwise get outsides of school. The agricultural education model is based off of classroom/labs instruction, experiential learning (supervised agriculture experience) and leadership (FFA). For students to a have comprehensive agriculture education experience in my classroom these supplies will help support and allow all the students access to each component of the agricultural education model. Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) projects are an integral part of agricultural education that allows students a hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. Having the supplies students can use at school is highly important to allow access for all students.
