My students will use your generous donation to foster the love and passion for art that they already come to me with. Many students see art as their one outlet, a way to express all the frustrations and anxieties of these very stressful times. Having a variety of supplies and resources for them to discover and learn with, will help them develop their techniques, their creativity and give them the safe and happy space they need.
Some of my children have behavior disorders, are homeless or don't have supplies to pursue art at home and take this skill with them when they leave my classroom. These items will enable my students to reach above and beyond in art. This will mean so much to many of them, and they will be so grateful to know that their talents and interests are valuable to their community. The value of my art class goes far beyond helping children develop their skills with drawing and painting. My students can benefit from having the luxury of various art materials that they may never experience outside of my class. Such as, exploring Watercolor! The watercolor sets, paint brushes, watercolor paper and even the cutting board will be amazing because they will help my students learn the techniques and strategies of painting using professional materials and giving them an authentic experience.
