With the ability to use editing apps that are best on Apple products, I’ll be able to help my students perform concerts virtually. They can record and submit audio and visual files of themselves performing from home, which I'll then edit together. It's not quite the same as being together, but it will still grant them the performance skills required by our state standards. I’ll also have the chance to develop their skills as budding musicians through solo work, duets, trios...the options are endless!! When we can all share a classroom again, they'll get to use this iPad to record for group recording and editing projects and live assessments. I’m hoping that with something as lightweight and versatile as an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, it will be easier for me to teach virtually from any location with WiFi. I’ll also get to use this at every concert I’ll conduct in the future, instead of having a paper sheet music. It will help me stay organized and give my students fun opportunities to practice the career skill of producing music!
