Everyone has a learning style - be it visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. But for some reason, hands-on experience tends to encapsulate the learning experience. Grasping concepts with manipulatives ramps up students’ love of learning through their innate love of play. This will help them extend what they are learning through trial and error, experimentation, and application of the standards being taught. Through their learning process, having hands-on experience will help imprint the memory of what they are learning which will lead to their success. I want this experience to continue building mind and muscle memory for my students in order to find a better version of their student selves.
